This week we’ve installed 3 sets of made to measure shutters and started 2 interior decoration projects. An interesting break from bathroom and kitchen projects but that’s just what we like about our business – The Diversity!
We were approached by one of our long standing clients and asked if we could source and install made to measure shutters as they’d tried the usual suspects and wondered if they could get better value for money without compromising on quality. Of course we could help! In fact we saved them over £800.
The shutters were for two sets of patio doors and a small bedroom window and they included 89mm louvres with hidden lift bars.

Our decorating projects have been polar opposites. One hall, stairs and landing and the other 4 rooms plus the hall, stairs and landing.
The single hallway project led us to encounter one of the most stubborn wallpaper installations we’ve ever seen. We’re not entirely sure what the paper was put up with but it sure wasn’t paste as after sponging didn’t work the steamers came out and even that was very slow, with the end result being walls needing plastering.
On the other hand the second project required wall transfers being removed. This process can usually be tricky but almost all came off easily leaving little or no residue.
We’ll post some progress photos of these projects over the next few weeks.
